Mako Privacy Policy
Effective July 16, 2026
Mako is a personal assistant operated by Mako AI. This policy explains how Mako handles information when you use the Mako dashboard or connect an external service such as Ring.
Information we handle
Mako may handle your account details, messages, settings, device information, and data from services you explicitly connect. For Ring, this can include authorized camera and doorbell metadata, device status, and event notifications.
How information is used
Information is used to provide the requested Mako features, maintain the connection, show device status, and respond to your commands. Mako does not sell your information or share it with unrelated third parties.
Credentials and retention
Connector credentials and tokens are stored on the Mako backend in protected settings. Mako does not store your password. Disconnecting a connector removes its stored access and refresh tokens. You may request deletion or ask questions by emailing the site operator.
External services
Connected providers, including Ring, process information under their own terms and privacy policies. Mako cannot control provider availability or policy changes.
Text messaging (SMS)
If SMS is enabled, Mako sends automated text notifications and replies to users who opt in. We do not share or sell mobile numbers, or SMS opt-in/consent, with any third party or affiliate for any purpose. Mobile information is used solely to operate the assistant for the user and is never used for marketing. Message frequency varies with your usage. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help.
